About Me
Hi there! Thanks so much for taking a minute to learn about me.
In 2016, I was chosen to be the Village of Pinehurst's very first dedicated communications professional, handling all facets of internal and external communications, including marketing the Village’s event venues: the Pinehurst Harness Track, the Village Arboretum, and the Fair Barn. In addition, I developed the Village’s line of logo merchandise sold in the Welcome Center and was responsible for the line’s marketing and sales.
I was thrilled to be responsible for creating the Village's very first keepsake ornament and loved working with a different local artist each year to commemorate a memorable moment or photo from that year. From 2014-2021, I was responsible for the Village’s social media presence, growing the Village’s Facebook following from 420 to over 16,000. In 2019, I chose to begin freelancing for the Pine Crest Inn as a way to experience communications and marketing outside the government realm - and a freelance career was born.
I have a passion for finding ways to connect with an audience, especially digitally, which led me to the UNC Chapel Hill Master’s program in Digital Communications, which I completed in 2022. I left the Village in 2021 to complete my master's degree and to focus on my freelance business, which led me to work with the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) as their Content Marketing Manager.
Through the last 10 years of working in communications and supporting the Village of Pinehurst, Pine Crest Inn, CVB, and many other local small businesses and organizations, I find my most important job is telling stories. Through photography, graphic design, website design, and social media, I tell their stories and invite the public to become a part of the story.

Hobbies
I'm a lifelong learner who loves taking classes, workshops, and webinars. I also haven't ruled out working on another degree. 😂
My most favorite thing to do is travel (I've been to 17 countries so far!) and I also enjoy dabbling in painting with watercolors and acrylics, reading, hiking, interior design, and spending time with my family and my pups.
